Bitossi’s ‘Rimini Blu’ collection of ceramics was created in the early 50s by Aldo Londi, the former art director of Bitossi ceramics. ‘Maori’ coffee pot in Meakin’s staple shape ‘Studio’, designed by Tom Arnold in 1964. Perhaps reflecting a taste for the exotic that was typical of the 60s, his particular example is a stylised interpretation of the traditional colour palette and patterns of traditional Maori designs.
